The Red Bird Sundial
Entitled "Circle of Time", the red sundial standing in the center of the Entrance Piazza is based on one of mankind's earliest scientific inventions. It has become an icon of HKUST.
Atrium
Illuminated by the beams of sunlight piercing through the glass ceiling, the Atrium is always crowded with energetic people having their mind set for the things they desire to achieve.
One-World-Fountain
The One-World-Fountain is composed of 5 stones with each stone representing a continent. The stone Asia located in the center of the sculpture communicates with other continents through the ever-flowing water. It represents a harmony of nature with man and a synergy of technology and worldwide communication.
The Seafront
Located just by the bay, the HKUST is well-known for the breathtaking sea view. It is a true treat to go for a walk along the seafront to marvel at the sea and nature.
The Sunrise
Every day is a fresh new start by the mark of sunrise. The first ray of the rising sun welcomes every guest daily at the HKUST.
